My name is Eric Stalloch, CEO of Secure Living Online. On behalf of Grandmaster Crandall and our board of directors: Welcome.
Grandmaster Crandall and I formed Secure Living Online in 2008 to help make quality self-defense instuction accessible for people of all ages and needs. Now, through this blog, we will be sharing our experience with you. You will get to know us better through our articles, videos, and updates on current events, but I'd like to start with a short introduction of who we are.
I am a 6th Degree black belt in American Eagle style and Chief Instructor in the American Martial Arts Instiute with over 21 years of martial arts training under my instructor, Grandmaster Crandall. Therefore, it is my pleasure to introduce Grandmaster Crandall.
Grandmaster Crandall's extensive martial arts background extends over 45 years. He is a certified 10th Degree Black Belt and recognized as the head and founder of the American Martial Arts Institute and American Eagle Style. He is also the Headmaster of Takenouchi-Hangan-Ryu-Matsuno-Crandall Iaido, a 300-year old samurai sword style passed to him by his late Headmaster Tsuneyoshi Matsuno. He has authored 6 martial arts books and produced numerous DVDs and videos. In 2009, he was featured on the cover of Action Martial Arts Magazine as a Global Martial Arts Grassroots Ambassador in a 3000-word story highlighting his contributions to the martial arts. He is a retired Supeintendent of Schools, High School Principal, Elementary School Principal, and Classroom Teacher in the State of New York.
